Who builds MemberCrew

MemberCrew is made by ZenByte Australia Pty Ltd, a managed IT services provider and web studio in Adelaide. Day to day, ZenByte looks after the IT, cyber security and Microsoft 365 of South Australian businesses, keeping their systems and data protected, and builds fast, modern websites. When your club talks to MemberCrew, it talks to the people who design and build it. More about ZenByte at zenbyte.com.au.

Geoff Woodberry, Founder

Geoff Woodberry is the Founder of ZenByte. Geoff works as an IT concierge: a business’s single, trusted point of contact for technology, from security and Microsoft 365 to automation and custom software that saves time and money.

Geoff has over 20 years in IT and has designed and built software used by other organisations, including a reporting portal used by a national IT distributor and school reporting software for South Australian primary schools. MemberCrew brings that experience to motor vehicle clubs.

Why that matters to your club

MemberCrew is built and run by a business whose everyday job is protecting other organisations’ systems and data. Security and privacy are built in, not bolted on. Your club’s data is stored in Australia, each committee member sees only what their role allows, every change is recorded in an activity log, and the club owns its data and can export all of it at any time.

And because ZenByte builds websites, the club website add-on (coming soon) comes from people who do that for a living.

Why it exists

Running a motor vehicle club means a lot of paperwork, and nearly all of it falls on volunteers. Secretaries keep the member list and the correspondence. Treasurers chase renewals and match payments to names. Registrars keep track of log books, and in South Australia the Conditional Registration Scheme adds yearly reports to the Registrar of Motor Vehicles and to the Federation of Historic Motoring Clubs SA on top of everything else.

Most clubs manage with a mix of spreadsheets, an old database, a folder of paper and the memory of whoever has held the job longest. It works until someone steps down at the AGM, a spreadsheet goes missing, or the yearly report has to be rebuilt from scratch again. General membership software helps with renewals but does not know what a log book is, so the registrar’s records end up in a spreadsheet beside it.

MemberCrew puts the club’s records in one place: members and renewals, invoices and payments, vehicles and log books, events, and the reports the committee and the Scheme need. It is written for the people who do the work, in plain language, so the next committee can pick it up where the last one left off.

What we believe

  • The club owns its data. Committees can download a full export of all the club’s records at any time, and a club that leaves gets a complete export.
  • The club keeps its money. Members pay the club, never MemberCrew. When online renewal payments arrive (coming soon), they will go straight into the club’s own Stripe account, and MemberCrew will take no cut.
  • Volunteers should not need training manuals. Plain words, clear screens and a committee walkthrough before you go live.
  • No surprises on price. One plan with everything included, with the price set once a year at your renewal date.

Where your data is kept

In Australia, in Sydney. Each committee member sees only what their role allows, and every change is recorded in an activity log showing who did what, and when. The security and privacy page covers this in full.

How support works

You deal directly with the people who build MemberCrew. When your club starts, we move your records across, keep MemberCrew up to date from your old system until you are ready, and show your committee around before you go live. After that, help is an email away (see contact) at support@membercrew.au. Placeholder: confirm support hours or response times, if Geoff wants to publish them

Launching in South Australia

MemberCrew is launching with its first South Australian club. It is built for South Australian clubs first, which is why the Conditional Registration Scheme’s log books and yearly reports are part of the core plan rather than an afterthought. Common questions

Who makes MemberCrew?

MemberCrew is built and run by ZenByte Australia Pty Ltd, an Adelaide managed IT services provider and web studio. Day to day, ZenByte looks after the IT, cyber security and Microsoft 365 of South Australian businesses, and builds websites. You deal directly with the people who build MemberCrew.

Why was MemberCrew built?

Club paperwork falls on volunteers, and in South Australia the Conditional Registration Scheme adds log books and yearly reports on top of renewals and dues. General membership tools do not know what a log book is, so committees end up with spreadsheets beside them. MemberCrew puts it all in one place.

Where is our data stored?

In Australia, in Sydney. The club owns its data and can download a full export of all its records at any time.

How do we get help?

By email at support@membercrew.au, from the people who build MemberCrew. When your club starts, we move your data across and show your committee around, so nobody is left to work it out alone.

Is MemberCrew only for South Australia?

It is built for South Australian clubs first and is launching with its first SA club. The Scheme features are specific to South Australia; the rest suits any motor vehicle club.
