How your band is worked out
Your price depends on one number: how many current members your club has at its renewal date. A current member is anyone whose membership hasn’t ended, so everyone on your books who has not resigned or died.
The band is set once a year, at your club’s renewal date. If the club grows or shrinks during the year, the price does not change until the next renewal date. That way the treasurer can put one figure in the budget and the committee knows the cost for the whole year.
Worked examples
| Current members at the renewal date | Band | Monthly price | Paid yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 85 | Up to 100 members | $150 | $1,650 for 12 months |
| 180 | Up to 200 members | $250 | $2,750 for 12 months |
| 640 | Up to 750 members | $475 | $5,225 for 12 months |
Paying yearly means paying for 11 months and getting the twelfth free. Every figure here includes GST.
What is included
Everything in the core plan, for every club size. There are no modules to unlock and no feature tiers: a 60-member club gets the same MemberCrew as a 900-member club. That includes members and renewals, invoices and payments, vehicles and log books, the SA Conditional Registration Scheme reports, events, reports, the member portal and the activity log. Online renewal payments and email to members are coming soon and will be part of the core plan.
Optional extras, coming soon
Two extras are on the way, and neither is needed to run the club. A club website will be $50 a month, including GST, on top of the core plan, with pages, news, a magazine archive, Buy and Sell, and your club’s own domain. SMS to members will be pay as you go, so you pay only for the messages you send. Both are coming soon, and neither has a release date yet. More on what is coming.
Comparing the cost
A spreadsheet costs nothing, and for some clubs it is enough. We compare the two honestly in MemberCrew vs spreadsheets, and set MemberCrew against general membership software in MemberCrew vs general membership software.
The one-off setup fee
A one-off setup fee covers moving your club’s records into MemberCrew, and it is quoted per club, including GST. We import your members, payments, vehicles and log books, keep MemberCrew up to date from your old system until you are ready to switch, and show your committee around before you go live. The quote depends on how much there is to move and where it is kept today.
Card fees and members’ payments
MemberCrew takes no cut of what members pay. Today members pay the club directly, by bank transfer, cash or cheque, and the treasurer records the payment in MemberCrew. Online renewal payments are coming soon: members will pay straight into your club’s own Stripe account, your club will pay Stripe’s standard card fees directly to Stripe, and the money will be the club’s from the moment it is paid.
